Alive at the Chapel

Last night Manly residents gathered for the annual Manly-Manado supported event, Alive at the Chapel. Artists that performed included Rubix, Sophie and Ellie, Over Flow Ella Freestone, Zoey Elliot, Mail Contemporary Dancers and The Joey Mawson Band.

This is the second year that Alive in the Chapel has been promoted in Balgowlah. The bands were awesome. We have such talented people in our community. Be sure to put the event in your diaries for next year. You won’t want to miss it.

Congratulations to Karina Guerrero and Balgowlah Uniting Church for organising a great evening of entertainment for the Manly community.

Minister Graham Perry kindly introduced Stuart Harris at both their 9:30 am and 6:00 pm services. It was fitting that the message of the sermon was about community and unity. Manly-Manado is a wonderful example of community growing locally, and the efforts of the 7 churches in the Manly region working together is an example of unity as we strive to serve our neighbours needs in Manado, loving them and sharing our blessings with them.

It was very encouraging to receive such positive feedback from the Balgowlah community. They were very supportive and purchased many books after the services. Thank you Balgowlah Uniting, and God bless you.

Next week, Sandy Chookman and Will Wrathall will be speaking at Balgowlah Uniting Church in a series called, Share Stories.

On Friday 28 August 2009 you can support Manly-Manado at Alive at the Chapel featuring live performances from many local bands.
